Lalitha Esakki

Lalitha has completed a Diploma in Yoga for Human Excellence and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She is a regular Yoga practitioner and trainer. Lalitha has, for a long time, involved herself in social service activities. She has worked with poor farmers and orphan children, and she has been training with the Philanthropy University to strengthen her social impact. She believes ‘service to mankind is the service to God‘. She joined Bija Organization to help the poor and underprivileged village peoples of Tamilnadu, her home state.

Lalitha is organizing Bija’s project in Tamilnadu. Making sure our aquaponics units run properly, identifying families and prospecting new projects.


Trond Thorrud

Chairman of the Board. Founder of the Bija Organization. Trond has his background from sales and finance. He has started up several call centers in different cities and companies in Norway. He worked with management, recruiting and training as well as coaching of sales people, team leaders and managers. In 2011 Trond shifted from working in Finance to humanitarian work. Member of the board. Nicolai holds and MBA from Norwegian School of Management. He has more than six years of management consulting company, as well as many years in various management positions in a large retail business. He has extensive experience especially from business- and organizational development, as well as process work from a wide range of industries. I’m very grateful to have been given the opportunity to use my knowledge, experience and drive to contribute with something as meaningful as humanitarian work and at the same time drive environmental development through Bija Organization.

Member of the Board. Kris holds a MA in Management from St. Andrews University, Scotland. He has 15 years experience from management consulting and investment banking, as well as three years running a family business. Wide ranging experience from strategy and M&A work, in addition to IPO’s, equity- and bond issues. I really appreciate the exciting and consequential opportunity to assist Bija Organization in making a lasting impact with sustainable projects in India.
